III - The Empress

Well it's holiday time, but that doesn't mean I stop working! Finished this last night. I wanted to include subtle - or at least not so obvious - references to the meanings of this card. The Empress is the mother figure, associated with nurturing and sensuality. She is where ideas grow and germinate. Hence the vintage illustrations of a seed growing. Also there are 'bird and bees' and a child to round out all those associations. I've made use of Photoshop brushes and shapes to give the figures crowns. Plus a scepter on the left and an orb in the baby's hands.

The High Priestess - revised

Well I said I'd do it - and here you go. Much happier with this revision. I'm working on a border to go around all the cards, so expect to see the same stuff all over again later.
