So it's been a while since I've blogged, I've been finishing artwork on my custom tarot deck. I've also been looking after my new mascot - Poe!
There have been quite a few people interested in getting their hands on a copy of the deck - ever since I began artwork on these months and months ago. With Xmas looming I thought it would make a pretty cool gift, so I found the motivation to finally finish all the artwork. It's been a mammoth undertaking, since my artistic style has evolved since I began. I went back and redesigned several of the cards, sometimes multiple times! I've finally got it to the point where I'm happy with them and I'm now running around like a headless chicken trying to find a printer to get it all produced in time.
One problem is money. I've come across crowdfunding sites like Kickstart and IndieGoGo and I'm toying with the idea of posting on there in an effort to raise the capital to get the deck printed. I'm not entirely comfortable asking for money, what do you think? Anyway, hopefully everything comes together in time for people to order a deck as a Xmas gift!
And of course, Mr Poe has been keeping me on my toes! He came to my home at just 6 weeks old. He's a Ragdoll, Persian, Russian Blue and moggy cross kitten - I think his coat is mostly Ragdoll, with beautiful blue-grey and white fur. He's now 8 weeks and doing really well. He's a happy, sprightly little dude and super smoochy. I post the odd cute photo on Twitter so check it out if you're a sucker for cats!
